WiFi Driver issue
01-02-2021 12:56 PM

Hi everybody
ok tearing my hair out! Bought said envy x360 convertible around 6 months ago for my wife, haven't used it for a few days with Christmas etc. She tried using today and can not connect to the wifi, there are no problems with the router as 3 phones and desktop work fine although I have reset this as per troubleshooting more than once. I have discovered its the intel(r) wifi6 ax201 driver which is faulty and have (via mobile tethering) managed to update, reinstall, restore and run the hp diagnostic and finally restart on numerous occasions all to no avail, I am now completely out of ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated as my wife is due to start back with her uni degree on Monday.

Ok, so after 3 days backwards and forwards halfway across the world with HP support, downloaded, uploaded, blacks screens, backdoors and god only knows what else, it still doesn't work and to quote a technician " I don't know why it isn't working"! We have sent it back under warranty and we will not buy another HP. Lost too much time and money. Always had HP but thinking twice these days, buying a laptop that is over £1000 I would of expected something better, we are not computer techs and shouldn't be expected to "Fix it" ourselves especially as it was still under warranty, when you buy a car are you expected to fix it yourself with a mechanic talking you through the steps?? To add insult, HP know of this problem yet continue to laptops with this particular issue.
