Hi to the wifi card ( Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n )works only at 2.5 GHz there is a compatile card for this laptop working at 5 GHz, I've tried more than 5 but if I mount the laptop does not start and it always fails wifi card. Certainly a solution waiting for the rest of your communications. Greetings

No, this one is listed as a 2 x 2 but if you try to look up the secs it is a 2.4 only card.
Atheros AR9285 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi adapter for use in Canada, the Cayman Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, the United States, and the US Virgin Islands 580101-001
This 2 x 2 card is also listed but unable to get specs:
Realtek 8188BC8 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS Combo Adapter 602993-001
What little I can find says it is also 2.4 ghz only.
Sorry you have the HP whitelist and only the specific HP Part No. cards in the Manual will work. To have 5ghz capability you need a usb wireless dongle thing.
This one is cheap and only does 5 ghz:
