I would like to upgrade my current wifi card to a faster one maybe with bluetooth support, possibly the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230. Don't know if this laptop is whitelisted and if that is even possible.
Model: Pavilion G7-1117cl
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
Serial: [personal info removed.]
Current wifi card: Realtek RTL8188CE
Thanks for your help!

Your machine was built long way before 2015 therefore it is whitelisted for sure. It has AMD processor therefore you can use the list on page 6 of the following Guide
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02834058.pdf.pdf
The series also supports Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 but ONLY for Intel processor machine. Option: You can use USB adapter, few examples
W/o BT: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO
With BT: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/edimax-ac600-wireless-dualband-and-bluetooth-40-usb-adapter-ac19320
Regards.
