Elitebook 840 G9
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a deployment of 30 HP Elitebook 840 G9 laptops and HP USB-C Dock G5s.

All are up to date according to HPIA 5.1.7 (and all the docks have been verified to be running the latest firmware).

Several users are complaining that when they undock their laptops they no longer have WiFi.

Checking in the device manager on an affected machine, there is no WiFi adapter listed when this occurs.

Powering the machine off and back on restores the WiFi adapter to working.  Is there a setting somewhere that is supposed to disable WiFi when docking, but is actually working in reverse on these systems?  The WiFi is working when docked (device shows in device manager, wireless networks show up as expected in the system tray network menu), it is only upon undocking that WiFi disappears.
