Welcome to the HP Community

Could you please help me with the exact model name or the product number of your laptop?

However, I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

If the issue persists, refer to this document:

Keep me posted, how it goes!

It is an HP Envy m7 notebook PC, m7-k111dx. I downloaded the HP support assistant and it did an update, but still having the same issue. It just intermittently cuts out for no reason and no matter what I do I can't figure it out. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for your help

Use the HP support assistant and run the network test and let me know the test results.

Or run a network test from F2

1. Turn on the computer.

2. Immediately press the f2 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the UEFI menu opens.

When the UEFI menu opens, select the diagnostic test you want to run, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Keep me posted with the test result.

Gave a great day:)

So I just ran the test through the HP support assistant and it indicated that it passed and I have 99% signal strength. Anything else you need to know about the test just let me know.

To resolve this issue, download and install the following SoftPaq: HP Connection Optimizer.

Click here: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp92001-92500/sp92122.exe to HP Connection Optimizer.

Update the BIOS for your notebook using this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers.

Keep me posted, how it goes!
