Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting frequently on my HP Elitebook causing inconvenience - stating "no internet", reconnects and disconnects once again. I have other laptops which has no issue with the same wi-fi. So, the issue lies with my HP Laptop.

I've troubleshooted by myself but nothing works.

OS Name: Windows 11 Home Single Language

For some reason, HP has removed all of the Realtek Wi-Fi drivers from almost every PC's support page.

 

According to the Microsoft Update Catalog website, the latest driver for the RTL8852BE/RTL8852BE-VS is 6001.15.156.0, so give that one a try.

 

You want the first file on the list.  It is good for W10 or W11 even though the info just indicates W11.

Now, since this file is a cabinet file and there is no executable, you will have to manually install the driver.

 

The first thing you need to do is to download and install the free 7-Zip file utility so you can unzip the cabinet file into a driver folder you can work with. 

 

You want the first file listed on the link below:

 

7-Zip

 

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the cabinet file you saved from the Windows Update Catalog site.

 

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into that long folder name.

 

After that is done, go to the device manager.

 

Click on the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

 

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

 

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

I had the same issue beginning in March/April of 2025. I have an HP 15-fc0093dx running Windows 11 24H2 that has the  Realtek RTL 8852be-vt wifi 6 adapter. The driver installed at that point was 6001.15.155.1 and was the most current release. I tried a dozen or more recommended fixes and had zero luck. I even turned off wifi 6 setting in my router, but no luck. The 6001.15.156.0 driver became available during my struggle for an answer so I installed that one -- but still had random wifi drops. I finally decided to install an older driver when the wifi was stable; that was driver 6001.15.152.0 that had been installed on 6/15/2024. I found that for my laptop still on the hp software support page listed as Package version 1.0.0.248 Rev.S. Since I installed it on 6/3/25 I have not had any random wifi drops in six laptop use sessions.

Note that there is a different driver for the 8852be-vt device but I have no idea what that is for. It would be nice if the someone actually tested this software before releasing it, but that's asking too much I guess.

I had one wifi other issue with my laptop after I purchased it in Feb 2024. I don't know if it is relevant to your problem but I will relate anyway. The wifi had random drops on battery only; not when using the power adapter. I also had another hp laptop running windows 10 and had no problems with it. My problem was that I had an old wifi 4 compliant router; but it worked just fine. I replaced it with a wifi 6 router and the problem was solved. wifi 6 introduced a feature called Target Wake Time (TWT) that is designed to extend battery life by allowing the adapter to adjust the sleep/wake time and reducing the time it is searching for a radio signal. The service time is negotiated between the adapter and the AP (the router). My guess is that it gets turned off when running on the power adapter.
