@GlennMc777, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your OMEN 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I see you've already gone through quite a few troubleshooting steps—kudos for being thorough! Let's try a few more things to get your OMEN laptop’s WiFi working again.
Device Manager Check
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Expand Network Adapters and look for your WiFi card.
If it's missing or has a yellow triangle, try right-clicking and selecting Scan for hardware changes or Uninstall device, then restart your laptop.
Enable WiFi in Services
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
Scroll down and find WLAN AutoConfig.
Double-click it and set Startup type to Automatic, then click Start if it’s not running.
Check Power Management Settings
Go back to Device Manager > Network Adapters.
Right-click your WiFi adapter > Properties > Power Management tab.
Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power and hit OK.
Check Hidden Networks
Click on the WiFi icon in the taskbar and see if Hidden Network appears. If so, manually enter your SSID and password.
BIOS Update
Since you didn’t find WiFi options in BIOS, updating it might help. You can find the latest BIOS update for your OMEN model on the HP Support website.
If none of these work, does your laptop detect any WiFi networks at all, or just not your home network? Also, have you tried connecting to a different WiFi (like a mobile hotspot) to see if the issue persists?
Let me know, and we’ll figure this out together! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Did we resolve the issue? If yes, Please consider marking this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" to give us a helpful vote - your feedback keeps us going!
