Hi @Elizabeth1204 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing troubleshooting connectivity issues with printers can be frustrating, but let's try to resolve it step by step.

Here's a guide you can follow:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is powered on and that the Wi-Fi indicator light is active, indicating that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • If your printer has a display screen, check for any error messages related to the Wi-Fi connection.

Restart Your Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connectivity issues.

Wi-Fi Network:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly and that other devices can connect to it.
  • Check if your printer and your computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Printer Settings:

  • Access your printer’s settings menu through its control panel or web interface (if available). Look for the Wi-Fi settings and ensure it's connected to the correct network.
  • If your printer supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), try connecting using this method. Follow the instructions in your printer's manual.

Driver and Software:

  • Make sure you have installed the correct printer drivers and software on your computer. Visit the HP website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the drivers and software following the on-screen instructions.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block the connection between your printer and computer. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.

IP Address Conflict:

  • Check if there are any IP address conflicts on your network. Ensure that your printer has a unique IP address.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting your printer's network settings to default. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
