My WiFi connection randomly drops every few minutes on my HP Victus laptop running Windows 10. The issue started about 16 days ago. I have already tried:

  • Flushing DNS and changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 (temporarily fixes it but disconnects again)
  • Updating WiFi driver (says already up to date)
  • Disabling power management for the WiFi adapter The issue happens both at home and at different networks, so it is not a router problem. The WiFi driver appears to be the latest version but the disconnections continue.

Perhaps this model Wi-Fi adapter will also work in your notebook:

This is the same model card HP installed in my HP 15-ee0047nr notebook which has the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP Part # / SPS # L35282-005.

Below is the link to the service manual.

HP only offered only two variations of the Wi-Fi card your notebook currently has installed.

That driver is out of date.

Here is the link to the latest driver HP currently has for the Realtek Wi-Fi adapters:

Sorry, that updating the driver didn't work.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try other than replacing the Wi-Fi adapter with a different model if that is possible.

You would have to provide the full model number or product number of your notebook if you are interested in pursuing that option.
