WiFi doesn't turn on whenever I turn it on after upgrading from win7 to win10 pro. F12 button turns airplane mood on/off and always has the orange colour on. Using Qualcomm atheros AR9265 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter.

Welcome to HP support community.
Did you install a retail copy of Windows or OEM version ?
As per the software drivers page, it shows that your PC does not have latest software and drivers Widows 10
If you wish to continue using Windows 10, then you will need to rely on generic Windows drivers(Windows update).
Or you try download the drivers using HP support assistant.
Refer this HP document for the steps to use HPSA:- Click here
The other option would be to revert back to the original OS which came with the computer.
I would suggest you could try to use HP Cloud Recovery Tool which allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive.
If this option does not work then you can follow this link: HP PCs - Obtaining PC Recovery USB Drives or Discs Or else you may contact our HP support team to help you order a set of recovery media for your PC.
HP support team can be reached on this link.
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
