My WiFi icon is not popping up, I reset the laptop multiple times and it still didn’t work. It’s been about a week. My device is a 11th Gen intel(r) core (tm)

I understand your laptop is not showing the Wi-Fi option even after multiple restarts. Let’s follow a few steps to find out what could be causing this.

a. Check Wi-Fi Toggle & Airplane Mode

Press Windows + A to open Quick Settings and make sure Airplane Mode is off.

If you see the Wi-Fi button, make sure it is enabled. If the Wi-Fi button is missing completely, proceed to the next steps.

b. Check in Network Connections

Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.

Look for Wi-Fi under Network Connections.
• If it appears but is greyed out/disabled, right-click and select Enable.
• If Wi-Fi is missing completely, continue with the next step.

c. Verify Wi-Fi Adapter in Device Manager

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

Expand Network adapters and look for adapters like Intel Wi-Fi 6, Realtek Wireless, or similar.
• If you see a down arrow symbol, right-click and select Enable device.
• If you see a yellow warning icon, right-click → Update driver → “Search automatically”.
• If the adapter is missing or under Other devices / Unknown devices, it may indicate a driver issue.

d. Reinstall Wireless Driver

In Device Manager, right-click the Wi-Fi adapter (if visible) and select Uninstall device.

Check the box “Delete the driver software for this device” and click Uninstall.

Restart the laptop. Windows will attempt to reinstall a fresh driver automatically.

e. Restart WLAN AutoConfig Service

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Scroll down and find WLAN AutoConfig.

Make sure:
Status = Running
Startup type = Automatic

If not, right-click → Start or Restart.

f. Hard Reset the Laptop (if supported)

Shut down the laptop completely.

Disconnect the charger and remove all external USB devices.

Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect only the charger, power it on, and check if Wi-Fi reappears.

g. Check BIOS Wireless Settings

Restart the laptop and immediately press Esc / F2 / F10 / F12 (depending on model) to enter BIOS.

Go to Advanced / Built-In Device Options.

Make sure Internal Wi-Fi / Wireless LAN is enabled.

Save changes and restart.
