Hello,

I do speed tests on my roommates pc and on my phone they all got around 80mbps. However, in my pc it is around 2mbps. I have downloaded wireless driver in HP website but after showing a black screen in command line it vanishes. Nothing has changed so far. Could you help me on this ?

Hi

Try

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat (not a .TXT) and double click to run.
Preferably run as an Administrator.
OR
Copy and use the individual command lines as needed.

Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

@Echo OFF
getmac
netsh lan show interfaces
netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan show drivers

PAUSE
systeminfo
pause
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"
PAUSE

You will get info like this...

There is 1 interface on the system:

The adapter capacity is listed as 130 Mbps.

So it is not the adapter itself.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure if I understood you right. Could you elaborate it please ?

HP Recommended

Hi

19 ms to the internet beacon is alright.

So something in the config of the setup or router needs changing.

Like channel or frequency

HP Recommended

One of the listings gives your WiFi adapter as 130 Mbps.

So the driver's seem to be correct.

HP Recommended

Today I changed the power settings in the control panel.  In power options I have changed the wireless adapter settings to Maximum Performance instead of Medium Power saving and it increased my internet speed. But still not as close to 80mbps.

HP Recommended

My problem still persists. I get 80mbps in my phone but nearly 1 or 2 mbps in my laptop.

Hi

IPv4Address : 192.168.0.31

IPv6DefaultGateway :

IPv4DefaultGateway : 192.168.0.1

NetIPv6Interface.NlMTU : 1500

NetIPv4Interface.NlMTU : 1500

NetIPv6Interface.DHCP : Enabled
NetIPv4Interface.DHCP : Enabled
DNSServer : 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Not seeing your DNS server details.

and like I said 19 ms is quite good

Therefore I can only post some general info, which you have probably tried already.
