Hi,
Everytime I reboot my laptop, the Wi-Fi Adapter is disabled and it is not recognized in the device manager. When I see the list in the device manager, I see it among other devices in grey and the details shows that it is not connected.
To solve the problem, I put the laptop in sleep mode once back from sleep mode the Wifi adpater is working and I can see the wifi networks available.
I have tried wifi adapter driver update, i updated the BIOS, I tested old drivers but have the same issue.
I am under Windows 10 (1909) and my wifi adapter is a realtek RTL8821CE.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Hassen

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
Wireless Module test:
Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu.
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests.
- The Component Tests menu displays.
- Wireless Module Test - This test checks that the BIOS detects the wireless module and that it is enabled.
To run the test, click the Wireless Module, and then click Run once.
- The Wireless Module Test takes 30 seconds to complete.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

OK I installed the UEFI Test module and when I restart the computer and do the test, it said that the Wifi adaptar is not installed while in reality it is installed.
I shut down the laptop and opened again and the wifi adapter was recognized by the laptop.
That's strange
Thanks

Thank you for posting back.
This sounds like software glitch let's install system software and drivers and check.
Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: ( do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating )
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open the HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
