Hello, my wifi is having issue since I purchased this laptop. From quite long I have been using a external usb wifi adapter through which my Internet is working good. I have complained many times to the service center and they also changed my wifi adapter, once my board has also been replaced, then also this problem is persists. My wireless network does not connect to any of the router. And when I start Hotspot On my phone and bring in contact near my laptop display then it connects, when I again move my phone away from it, it again disconnects.
Help Appreciated.

A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.
I understand that you have an HP 15-r007tx Notebook PC and is facing wireless connectivity issues. I read that using the wireless YSB wifi adapter the wifi works fine. The service center has replaced the wifi card and also the motherboard previously and the wireless network still does not work. While using the mobile hotspot through your phone, the laptop connects only when the phone is near to the laptop. When you move the phone away from the laptop, the hotspot does not work. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps. I'll do my best to help you.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Open Control Panel, change view to Small Icons, then select "Recovery".
- After creating a Restore Point, open Device Manager.
- Open the "Network Adapter" list, and find the WiFi adapter.
- Right Click the driver, and select "Disable“ and “Re-Enable”
- Check if Wifi connects. If not, continue with the steps below.
- Open CMD as Admin: Copy the following commands, and press enter after each one.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh int tcp show global (Check if All settings have taken effect)
If the wifi disconnects often then please perform the below steps:
1. Open CMD with Administrator
2. Type :
sc config storsvc type= own
( this resets this service to its default state )
3. Restart the PC.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know the results. Good luck! 🙂
