My laptop no longer is showing WiFi as an option to connect to. Airplane mode is turned off. I’ve tried everything I can find but nothing works. Where did the WiFi option go?

It is possible that a recent update may have dropped the driver for the WiFi hardware.  Look in Device manager to see if there are any items indicating no driver installed.

FYI: the complete model number is needed to give satisfactory advice, as there are many different models in the HP 15 Notebook category.

I had checked the drivers. It was showing as installed. I tried both reinstalling and updating. Even changed the setting to not turn off automatically because on battery but none of that did anything.
