My wifi signal strength is roughly 144 Mbps with the lid open. The signal drops to 20-80 Mbps when I close the lid. I'd like to use the laptop with the lid closed (with a monitor).

Is there a way to maintain proper wifi signal strength with the lid closed?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the WIFI signal drops when you close the lid.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

The wireless antennas are on the display bezel and when you close the lid it blocks the range, and which causes the WIFI signal drops.

You can keep the lid open about 30-45 degrees and use the computer. Or else you can use a USB wireless dongle.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
