Hi there
I'm looking for a solution to a wifi adapter that no longer connects to a wifi network, but it used to. I've noticed a previous problem discussed in the community that posted an acceptable fix (and which I think will also solve my problem). The file reference was: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe.
This link is no longer active. It seemingly contained the original Windows 10 64 bit drivers for the adapter in my PC, prior further Windows 10 updates which broke the system.
Does anybody have this file or could you please post the currently active link to this file?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Johan:
Here is a working link to that HP Softpaq:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe
Unfortunately, I doubt that will resolve the problem for you.
The Ralink Wi-Fi adapter model series has a habit of completely disappearing on the newer builds of W10 and there is no fix other than to replace the card (if there is no BIOS whitelist) or use a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul, thank you for providing the link, it was active and I could download and install the file.
Unfortunately you're right - it did not solve the problem.
Thank you very much for your support, I appreciate it.

You're very welcome.
If you let me know the full model number or product number of your PC, you may be able to replace the Ralink Wi-Fi card with a different model.

Otherwise, you can use a USB Wi-Fi adapter.
