My laptop is not showing wifi adaptor. I have tried all hardware related changes with Device Manager and even manually downloaded wifi adaptor but still wifi icon or adaptor are not visible.

Hi @RKShah89,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already taken several troubleshooting steps, which is great. Since you've checked Device Manager and attempted to manually download the WiFi adapter drivers without success, here are a few more things you can try.

  • Check BIOS/UEFI settings: Sometimes, the WiFi adapter can be disabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings. Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, Del, or Esc during startup). Look for any option related to wireless networking and ensure it's enabled.
  • Reset BIOS/UEFI settings: If you're comfortable doing so, you could reset the BIOS/UEFI settings to their defaults. This can sometimes resolve configuration issues that may be causing the WiFi adapter not to appear.
  • Hardware check: Ensure the WiFi adapter is properly connected to the motherboard. If you're comfortable doing so, you could open up your laptop (if it's not under warranty) and physically check the connection of the WiFi adapter.
  • System Restore: If the issue started recently, you could try performing a System Restore to revert your system to a point where the WiFi adapter was working correctly.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue with your HP laptop's WiFi adapter.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
