Microsoft Windows 11

Hi there,

I want to upgrade my wifi card to wifi 6e, my laptop is OMEN by HP 17-inch Gaming Laptop[2018], 17 an120 nr model number 3WE38UA#ABA.

I dont anticipate problems with swapping current wifi card with wifi 6, or 6e,. I see a lot of people saying their intel ax210 wifi6 cards don't work on hp laptops, is this the case with me?. I bought the 6e version of Intel ax210, will it have problem?

Hi:

Unfortunately, no one here would be able to answer your question.

The only way we know what Wi-Fi cards work that are not listed in the service manual are from forum members who report what card they installed and whether or not it worked.

If you are planning to install an AX210 make sure that it is the non-vPro version (M27267-005).

If you want to experiment with an AX200, this is the part number I recommend which you can find on eBay.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.
