Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an old HP G56 laptop and the wifi is poor.

I want to upgrade the card to dual band preferably with Bluetooth but the bios has a whitelist which means I am tied to use only certain cards.

Does anyone know a compatible card or way around the whitelist?

Your machine was built around 2010/2011 therefore due to the whitelist the chance to upgrade to newer wifi card is none. Options

Thanks for the reply.

I have ordered a USB wifi and Bluetooth adaptor and will see if that works.

It seems a shame that HP cannot remove the whitelist on older models of laptops as obviously the devices can still work after many years but not being able to upgrade has now meant that I will not be looking at HP when I need a replacement.
