I would like to upgrade the Wi-Fi car in my hp model 15-cn1073wm from the Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz to one that can access Wi-Fi 7 speeds. I've seen that an intel BE200NGW is what is recommended but I see something about an issue that my laptop has a  CNVio card and it doesn't recognize other cards. Does anyone know what I can use to upgrade? Thanks in advanced.

Hi @chrisinwash,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Your HP 15‑cn1073wm uses a CNVi‑based Wi‑Fi card, which means it won’t recognize standard PCIe cards like the Intel BE200NGW (Wi‑Fi 7). Because of this limitation, the upgrade path is restricted.

Opening the device on your own will void the warranty, the safest option is to reach out to an HP Service Center for guidance and supported upgrade options.

Kuroi,

Thank you for your response but I am already out of the warranty period plus I have upgraded the ram, hard drive and change the battery myself. My next upgrade to keep it up to date is the network card. Does hp have one that I can purchase or an i left with using what is already in the device.

Thank you.

Chris
