Can I upgrade my wifi card to receive 5ghz. My present card is Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 2.4 ghz. Tried searching internet with no reliable info. My laptop is a Pavilion DV6 7063sa

If your PC has an Intel series 7 chipset, then yes, you can replace the Intel 2230 card with this one...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part #710661-001
The card should be readily available on Amazon or eBay.
Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
I have zipped up and attached a free utility below that will tell you what chipset your PC has.
