Ipad can find printer on wireless network. It cannot connect to internet through printer.
I noticed IP addresses were different:
On printer: 192.168.1.238
On device:192.168.223.100
Thanks!

Hi! @lstayer, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand that you have issues connecting your iPhone and iPad to the printer.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
Install HP Eprint app on your Iphone and Ipad and check if it helps.
Install the HP ePrint app on your Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.
On your mobile device, open the Wi-Fi settings and make sure you are connected to the wireless network.
Download and install the HP ePrint app (in English) from the App Store.
Once the app installs, a Welcome to HP ePrint screen displays.
On the Welcome to HP ePrint screen, tap Activate Now or Skip.
If you skip activation, select your usage data collection option, and then tap Done.
Type your email address in the Activate using your email box, and then tap Activate.
The HP ePrint service sends you an email containing an Activation Code.
Check your email, and then note the Personal Identification Number (PIN) code in the email sent from the HP ePrint service.
Return to the HP ePrint app. , and then type the code. and then tap Activate.
Type the code, and then tap Activate, or tap Settings, type the code, and then tap Activate.
When prompted, select your usage data preferences, and then tap Done.
The HP ePrint app detects any printers on the network.
Select your printer.
Refer this article to know how to use HP Eprint app.
Let me know if this works!
Cheers! 🙂

If you are connected to an option called "Wifi Direct" in the printer, you will not be able to gain internet access.
Wifi Direct turns the printer into a "wifi hotspot" that connects ONLY to your device via wifi. It does not provide a path to the internet.
Check the printer to see if Wifi Direct is turned on. If so, turn it off, and let the printer connect to your router instead. That way all devices can print and access the internet at the same time.
