Wifi connection dropping

Hello, 

I been having connection issue with my WiFi,connection drops specially when Im in video calling. I changed my ISP couple a times and relocating router closer to my laptop. But didn't fix the issue. Now, I want to change my wifi card. Can anyone advice which WiFi cars to purchase for this laptop model hp envy m6-k125dx.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to upgrade to the Broadcom wifi card that is listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual:

Broadcom 4352 + Bluetooth combo w/ *2 antennas (802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0    HP part # 724935-005

An alternative part number should be this one:

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo    HP part # 724935-001

You should be able to find either card on eBay.

W10 should install the drivers automatically, but here are the latest ones HP has for the Broadcom card.

Wifi:

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver (Windows 10)

7.35.351.0

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78044.exe

After you install the above driver, Windows update will install 7.35.352.0

Bluetooth:

Broadcom Bluetooth Driver

12.0.1.921

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp75001-75500/sp75330.exe

I recommend that when you receive the Broadcom card, first go to the device manager and uninstall both the Intel Bluetooth and Intel Wi-Fi devices, and check the uninstall driver box for each one.

Then you can shut down the PC, unplug it, remove the battery and install the Broadcom card.

It works! Windows 10 updated the drivers on its own. no issues were found. thank again!
