HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d4000 (4C802AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Windows 11 cam pre-installed on my new laptop. Whenever my laptop goes into sleep mode and I "awaken" ? it to continue working, after approx 2-3 min, the wifi connection drops off.... get error message  stating "you are no longer connected to the network. RESTORE", then connection is remade to network. I was previously advised by a HP Tech support person to reinstall all the windows system files ( basically reformat hard disk and reinstall ). I refused to do so, as I would loose all my data, setup etc that has taken me weeks to setup...so I have perservered with this error...till it gets to me again!!!!!!   ITS A BRAND NEW LAPTOP!!!!  any assistance would be appreciated...other than reinstalling the operating system........

You need to keep wifi adapter awake, not off during sleep .Please

1. Open Device Manager,

2. Go to Network adapters and expand it,

3. Right click Wifi adapter and go to Properties,

4. Goto Power Management and untick Allow computer to turn off ...

5. Click Apply/Ok to get out

There is NO Power Management option.........

That process above is available for Windows 10 , but that process and steps are not available for Windows 11. I can't find a way to adjust the network adapter properties since that same "power management" tab is no longer an option that I can see in Windows 11 once you go to the network adapter properties pop-up window. Please advise. Thanks.

I am running Windows 11 Home. gpedit.msc is not available as  per that thread..... so that is not applicable....I note that there has been NO sucessful resolution of this problem on that thread

My suggestion: Ask Microsoft, they should have a solution.
