I have an HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J7AV) and when it comes out of sleep the wifi speed is drastically reduced. I can restore full speed by disabling then enabling the wifi but this is annoying. From my research online I suspect that when sleep is entered (modern standby) the wifi adaptor is being set to reduced power mode but it is not being restored to full power.
Whatever the cause I'd like to know if there is a fix for this.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the updated drivers are no better. If I disable/enable wifi I get 65Mb/s throughput (which is the maximum for my current connection) but coming out of sleep I'm only getting 30Mb/s.

You should check if your Wireless network adapter is not set to be turned off to save power when computers go to sleep mode. If it the current Power Management plan turns off your Wireless adapter while in sleep mode, just change it and your problem will be solved.

Thanks.
Unfortunately I don't have any power saving options for the adaptor. Neither on the adaptor properties nor via Edit Power Plan.
I can see however that the adaptor remains powered on during sleep which I believe is normal for 'Modern Standby'.
