Hi @Ja123_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing issues with Wi-Fi not connecting on your HP laptop. There are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check Wi-Fi Button or Switch:

  • Ensure that the Wi-Fi button on your keyboard (often depicted with an antenna icon) is enabled. Sometimes it can be turned off accidentally.

Restart Your Router:

  • Sometimes the issue could be with your router. Try restarting it to see if that resolves the connectivity issue.

Update Wi-Fi Drivers:

  • Use HP Support Assistant or manually update your Wi-Fi drivers through Device Manager.

  • To update drivers using HP Support Assistant HP Support Assistant | HP® Support:

    • Search for and open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
    • Go to the Updates section and check for new driver updates related to Wi-Fi.

  • Alternatively, right-click on the Start button, select Device Manager, find Network adapters, right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter, and then click Update driver.

Reset Network Settings:

  • You can reset your network settings by:
    • Going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    • Click Network reset, read the information, and then select Reset now.

Check Network Configuration:

  • Ensure that your network settings are configured correctly.
  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and make sure your network is selected.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your system is up to date with the latest Windows updates, as these sometimes contain fixes for connectivity issues.

Run Network Troubleshooter:

  • Use the built-in network troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters, then select Internet Connections and Run the troubleshooter.

Power Management Settings:

  • Go to Device Manager, select your Wi-Fi adapter, right-click and choose Properties, and under the Power Management tab, uncheck the option to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
