Hi @JJJ2302,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like your HP PC has encountered an issue with the WiFi connection. Here are steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.
Check WiFi Settings on Your PC
- Ensure WiFi is Enabled:
- On Windows, press Windows + A to open the Action Center.
- Check if the WiFi icon is lit. If it's grayed out, click it to enable WiFi.
- Turn Airplane Mode Off:
- Ensure Airplane Mode is not enabled in the same Action Center menu.
Restart Your PC and Router
- Restart your HP PC.
- Power cycle your router:
- Unplug it from power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
Run Windows Network Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
- Click on Network Troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
Check Device Manager for WiFi Adapter
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters and look for your WiFi adapter.
- If it has a yellow exclamation mark, right-click and select Update driver.
- If it’s missing, click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- Re-enable Adapter:
- If the WiFi adapter is listed, right-click it and select Disable, then Enable.
Update WiFi Driver
- Right-click the WiFi adapter in Device Manager.
- Choose Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- Alternatively, download the latest driver from HP’s support website for your PC model.
Check WiFi Network Settings
- Ensure your router’s SSID (network name) is visible.
- Re-enter your WiFi password if prompted.
- If using a dual-band router, try connecting to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.

Reset Network Settings
Open Command Prompt as Administrator (Windows + X > Command Prompt (Admin)).
Run the following commands one by one:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
Restart your PC.
Verify Hardware
- If none of the above works, the issue might be hardware-related:
- Test your WiFi on another device to confirm your router is working.
- Use an external USB WiFi adapter to bypass a faulty internal adapter.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
