Pavilion G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've seriously tried all the possible solutions and still nothing.  Not only the solution that was proposed in this forum topic like many others in other websites, like in windows forum and mediatek/ralink forum, and even on youtube and still nothing, i really can't solve this issue and I'm ruining out of pacience...

I'll probably go back to Windows 8.1 because all the solutions have failed..

If anyone knows a diferent/new solution please reply!!

My PC is a HP Pavilion G6

My Wi-Fi adapter is a Ralink RT3290 802 and the drivers are already updated.

Regards.

Hi:

Since I don't know what things you have tried, or which one of the hundreds of g6 model notebooks you have (they span over several years), the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W10 Ralink WLAN driver.

OPERATING SYSTEM(S):
Microsoft Windows 10 32
Microsoft Windows 10 64

LANGUAGE(S): Global

DEVICES SUPPORTED:
802.11n Wireless PCI Express Card LAN Adapter
Mediatek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
Ralink RT3090 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
Ralink RT3290 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter
Ralink RT3592 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi Adapter
Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

FIXES:
- Provides the WHQL driver initial release to support Windows 10.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe

If the above driver doesn't work, the most likely problem is the RT3090 hardware revision of the card you have is probably too old to run W10.

Only the latest model RT3090's made in the last couple of years will run W10.

You're very welcome.

I downloaded and the driver was stored in a separate directory.  Now how do I get windows to use that driver?

HP Recommended

The downloaded file - sp71571.exe is a self-installing application.

After running it, it asks for a directory to unpack, after which it automatically installs the drivers it contains.
