Hey just signed up after a "frustrating"* couple of weeks with my laptop!
I bought this for basic day-to-day stuff and for the odd bit of audio editing. Nothing fancy, basic cut & paste using an old programme called Cool Edit 2. Running Windows 10 on the machine was completely unsuitable, slow and invasive (it continually forced updates that rendered my soundcard ineffective) so I've formatted and downgraded to Windows 7. The installation seems to have gone ok, except the drivers for the Wireless card are now missing in action. Having done a self diag on the HP site I'm getting the sure fire "sorry, we don't know what that is"
So - is there a way to get a basic driver set so I can connect to the internet wirelessly? I have to say, since installing Windows 7 the laptop seems MUCH happier - I just can't get online unless I'm sat by my router. Which is pointless!

Hi:
Here are the links to the W7 x64 drivers you need...
Wifi: Install this first so you can directly download the rest of the drivers you need.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96873.exe
Then install the AMD chipset drivers and restart the PC. Select the W7 x64 driver from the list.

Graphics: Select the W7 x64 driver from the list and restart the PC.
Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the Windows 64 bit driver and restart the PC.
Ethernet: Download, unzip and run the setup application form the W7 driver at the link below.
SD card reader: Download, unzip and run the setup application from the 1st file listed at the link below.
Touchpad: The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if the W10 driver works on W7.
