Hello,
I recently ripped Windows 10 off of a Notebook, and replaced it with Windows 7 64x. The problem is that most of the Network Drivers are now missing. Everything else works perfectly. I have curently installed the Bluetooth and Ethernet drivers. The missing drivers are as follows:
- Network Controller
- PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller
- SM Bus Controller
- Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
- Unknown Device
- And, Unknown Device
If anyone could find the download links for these, I would be very thankful. I can provide anymore details, be it Serial Number or anything else.
Thanks,
Mex

You're very welcome.
You need this driver for the 1st one.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72664.exe
For the 2nd one, Windows Update should install the driver.
Click on the device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab.
Click on update driver.
Select the automatic update method, and Windows Update should find and install the driver.
If Windows update doesn't install the device...
I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft Hotfix to install the ACPI\MSFT0101 device, below.
Download, unzip and run the file.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
That was actually a BAD idea as HP does not make Win7 drivers for their new Win10 notebooks.
But, unless you post the detailed model number of your notebook, no one can look to see if any such drivers exist.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

We would really need more info before finding any of those drivers. You didn't even give us a Model Number for your laptop. HP makes Intel and AMD based machines.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
Or_ at least the hardware id of each device.

This should work for your Wireless card:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70888.exe
Other drivers here should work(not BIOS or other firmware):
@Paul_Tikkanen probably has some ideas.

Hi, @Mexhe
This wifi driver would be the best one for the Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi and BlueTooth 4.0 M.2 combination WLAN adapter your notebook comes with...
The package contains the Broadcom wireless LAN drivers and utility that are required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN Adapter in supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72879.exe
Bluetooth:
This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72617.exe
SMBus and USB: Download and install the 1st driver on the list at the link below, and restart the PC.
https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy4&os=Windows%207%20-%2064
PCI E/D Controller...will have to be manually installed.
I have zipped up and attached the driver you need to install below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
There are too many devices that windows labels as unknown to be certain of what drivers you need for those.
So please post the hardware ID's for the unknown devices, and then I will post the links to the drivers you need for those.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Thanks so much @Paul_Tikkanen and @CherylG ! Everything is up and running besides the 2 Unknown devices. I posted their ID's below:
- Unknown Device (1): ACPI\SMB0001
- Unknown Device (2): ACPI\MSFT0101
Again, thanks for all the help!
