Hi,
My laptop is a HP Pavilion 15-n278tx which is using the wifi card Ralink RT3290, where I'm facing issued as limited connectivity and not being able to use 5GHZ network. So I'm planning to upgrade it with the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC7260 wifi+bluetooth card. I want to know will it be compatible with my laptop, whether it will be restricted by the BIOS whitelist. Additionally I've updated the BIOS to the latest version. Appreciate your help.
Thank You
Kind Regards
Harsha.

Hi, Harsha:
As long as there are two antenna cables connected to the Ralink card in there now, the Intel 7260 AC wifi card will work just fine.
I do however, recommend that you purchase the 7260 with this HP part number on it.
It is readily available on Amazon or eBay. Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
