Pavillion dv6 1340sf
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello

I have an error message during the boot : Wireless Module (701) : "The system has detected that the Wireless module is not installed correctly or not functionning" .

I reinstalled the driver and reseated the WIFI modul. But the message appears again.

My laptop is the Pavillion dv6 1340sf.

The Wifi module has the HP Spare part number 572520-001. It is an Intel WiFI link 1000.

And so, I do not have WiFI connection any more.

Is the next sted to reinstall the OS ?

@linkiset,

I reviewed your post and I understand the wireless card is not getting detected on the computer and you are getting an error about the same on boot.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you contact support as it looks like the wireless card is gone bad and needs replacement.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
