Hello,
My WIFI printer shows in HP Smart as "online (green bullet)". When I send a test page, it shows Printing-Error. I checked, the port number is correct, I have the latest drivers.
As a side-note, this printer is installed (and it works) when connected to USB cable.
I tried the WiFi installation several times (using TCP/IP option) but each time the Port changed by adding a "_1 or _2" because the initial port was used. I also tried to remove the ports but every time I get the message "port is in use" even though there is no printer assigned to that port, that I can see. Another interesting fact is that when I try to print a document, the list of available printers is now 5 printers when in fact I only have 2 (one USB related, the other WiFi). However, in devices and Printers I still see the 2 printers I mentioned (not the 5 listed in the printer selection when I try to print a document).
So, how do I make my WiFi printer to print? According to HP Smart it is active. However, in HP Smart it has a name that i don't see in Devices and Printers . . .
Hope I did not confuse you . . .
Thanks!
