Hello,

According to the HP_dv7-6195us_Maint_Manual.pdf, there are a multitude of wi-fi network cards supported by my laptop (page 8).  When I replaced my "Intell Centrino Wireless-N 1000" card with an "Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230" card, my BIOS displays an error "Wireless Module not supported".  Does anyone know if there's a way to get around this error message?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

@2Shamrocks

Where did you get HP_dv7-6195us_Maint_Manual.pdf from ? Normally HP Maintenance and Service Guide  has following format

   http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c********.pdf

Please go to its support page and update BIOS, hope this helps.

Regards.

Hello,

I don't remember where I got the manual.  I've probably had it a long time, I bought the laptop in 2011.  I'm running the latest BIOS, which came out in 2011.

You can view the manual here:

Any other ideas?

Cordially,

Rob
