Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello my name is Jan.

I have a question about wi-fi connection. For the past year i have been using the same connection with my laptop and never had any problems. Now for 14days i couldn't have been able to find my wi-fi and i can see other neighbour's connections. The connection with my wi-fi works with every other laptop, desktop computer and phone but i just can't find it in this HP laptop because it doesn't show it.

I have tried going to other places(girlfriend) and her wi-fi is shown immediately, i also tried hotspot with my phone and it also connects without any problems. The problem because very distracting because i ireally need a working wifi connection on this laptop.

I tried every solution from internet, disconnecting and rebooting my router, deleting my wifi adapter in settings then restarting computer, tried numerous of cmd commands, i also cleaned it and put new windows on it. I am currently running on windows 10 pro 32bit because i used it since beginning and never had problems with it, now for 14days straight it doesnt't work. Please help because i need a solution asap.

Welcome to HP support community.

  • Since you've already reinstalled drivers, I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this link

  • Update the bios by visiting this link or through support assistant using an Ethernet cable.

  • Now try to connect to the internet wireless.

The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Download and install the HP Hardware diagnostics tool from this link

Once installed, shut down your computer.

Wait for a minute.

Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup to enter system diagnostics.

Select the component test and run a wireless test on your computer.

Refer to this HP Article for assistance.

If the test fails or does not detect the wireless card, it could be faulty.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
