My laptop is still not connecting to the internet.
The error message reads "An Ethernet cable is not properly plugged in or might be broken" I only have a wireless router and it is broadcasting dual bands 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.

hmm I never heard of a wireless wifi saying anything about a ethernet cable. on my laptop I have internet through my cable provider and I have wifi. Who is your provider maybe you should contact them as well. something probably is not set up right with either the router, modem or your laptop.

There are other wifi users in my household, mac books and chrome books and no one else is having issues with the internet. It has to be something with my computer.
When you go to show available networks. It does not show any available networks and under Network and Internet settings it says "Change settings such as making a connection metered"
