Hello,
I have a 2012 model Hp pavillion dv6. I am have trouble with my wireless card. I have replaced the card with a new one, and the computer still does not see the card. It's not in device manager, and a bios check says it's not installed. It is seated correctly, and my motherboard is new and squeaky clean. The driver has disappeared from any files I can find them in too. Using a regular LAN cable works. I'm beginning to think the bus the card sits in took a crap on me despite being new, but it took a lot of time and effort to install a new motherboard after the last one fizzled after 7 years of heavy use. What else can I do? I've reset all sockets, restarted, updated, rolled back updates, tried the new card on other computers to verify it isn't a dud, and I just can't think of anything else other than giving up and sticking to using a LAN cable or a USB wireless adapter. I really don't want to resort to that though, because if I'm going to keep this thing going, I'd like to have full functionality.
