Product: HP OfficeJet 5255
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

I recently stopped using a rented modem from Xfinity because I purchased  a new modem, brand Arris, SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and wi-fi-router.

Now my laptop will not talk to my HP Office jet 5255 printer. The laptop and the printer talked to each other wirelessly previously when I was using the modem from Xfinity. Suggestions?

The specs does not say anything about Printing with Wi-Fi Direct

Otherwise you have to use the classic way.
