Hi @_Donaubauer-67,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Connecting your HP printer to your Amazon Fire tablet can be done through a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection. Here are the general steps to set up the connection.

Make sure your HP printer is compatible with the Amazon Fire tablet:

Check the printer's compatibility with your Fire tablet. Not all printers are supported, and it's crucial to ensure that your HP printer is compatible.

Connect your HP printer to Wi-Fi:

  1. Make sure your HP printer is turned on.
  2. Access the printer's control panel or display screen.
  3. Navigate to the wireless or network settings on your printer.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.
  5. Confirm that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Fire tablet.

Install the HP Print Service Plugin on your Fire tablet:

  1. Open the "Settings" app on your Fire tablet.
  2. Go to "Apps & Notifications."
  3. Select "See all apps."
  4. Find and open "Print Spooler" or "Print Services."
  5. Enable "HP Print Service Plugin" if it's not already enabled.

Add your HP printer to the list of available printers:

  1. Open the app from which you want to print on your Fire tablet (e.g., Chrome, Gmail, etc.).
  2. Select the three dots or the share icon to open the menu.
  3. Choose the "Print" option.
  4. Select your HP printer from the list of available printers.
  5. Adjust any print settings if necessary.
  6. Tap "Print."

Additional Tips:

  • Ensure that your HP printer and Fire tablet are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure your HP printer and Fire tablet firmware/software is up to date.
  • Some HP printers may require additional setup steps, such as registering the printer with HP and obtaining an activation code.

Troubleshooting:

If you encounter issues, check the following:

  • Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that the HP Print Service Plugin is installed and enabled.
  • Check for any firmware or software updates for your HP printer.
  • Restart both the printer and Fire tablet.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
