Wireless driver or adapter not working while not charging.working only while connected to charger.

All wireless options are gone after certain amount of time. Kindly help. Ive updated the drivers and done all possible things told by virtual assistant.

I understand that the wireless is not working while not charging.

The computer will drop its wireless connection when it is unplugged from the AC adapter and starts using battery power. This happens because the power settings are configured to automatically reduce the power to the wireless network adapter, resulting in a smaller broadcast radius. When the broadcast radius falls outside the range of the access point's broadcast radius, the wireless adapter disconnects. Although the device manager can be set to turn off the wireless device to save battery power when the power level is low, this can cause the wireless device to quit while still operating on battery power.

To resolve this issue, adjust the power settings so that the wireless network adapter remains at full strength even when the computer switches over to battery power.

Adjust the wireless network adapter power settings

To adjust your wireless network power adapter settings:

1. Click Start, type power options in the search field, then select the Power Options control panel program from the search list.

2. On the Select a power plan screen, click Change plan settings beneath your currently selected power plan.

3. On the next screen, click Change advanced power settings.

4. In the Advanced settings window, click Wireless Adapter Settings, then click Power Saving Mode, and then set On battery to Maximum Performance.

5. Make sure that Plugged in option is also set to Maximum Performance.

6. Click OK to save these settings and close the window.

Now, your notebook will have the same wireless connection range whether it is using an AC adapter or battery power.

Disable the wireless device's power saving option

To disable the Power Management setting that turns off the wireless device, do the following:

1. Click Start, type device manager in the search field and select Device Manager from the list.

2. Click to expand the Network Adapter options, and select the wireless network adapter.

3. On the Power Management tab, deselect the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. option.

4. Click OK to accept this selection and close the Device Manager.
