Wireless drivers - Windows Server 2012 R2

Would like to know if any one got successfully installed Windows server 2012 R2 drivers. I am trying to install wireless drivers for couple of days now and couldn't get them working. Any help would be really appreciated.

You're very welcome.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W8.1 64 bit driver directly from Intel.

There aren't any W10 drivers for that model card.

Hi, Thank you for the link. It looks the drivers installed fine but the HP Integrated Module driver is not present. I was in a impression that they would have a same driver. Apparently I was wrong.

You're very welcome.

The HP integrated BT module is a separate component from the wireless card and is a Broadcom based bluetooth device.

Not only that, but any combination wireless BT card has a separate wireless and a separate bluetooth driver.

Do you see a bluetooth device category in the device manager?

If you do not see a bluetooth device category in the device manager, then you probably had the BT radio turned off via the HP connection manager, when you installed Windows Server 2012.

The HP Connection Manager will not run on any operating system past W7.

If you want any chance of the BT to work, you need to reinstall W7, install the connection manager, turn on the HP integrated BT module with the connection Manager, uninstall the connection manager, restart the PC.  Verify the BT is still present in the device manager and then reinstall windows server 2012.

There is no guarantee that I can find a driver for you that will work on Windows Server 2012, unless one is automatically installed.

The BT module works on W10, because I have the same device in my HP Elitebook 6930p notebook, but W10 automatically installed a driver for it.

The bluetooth would have nothing to do with the wireless not working.

If you see the Intel 6205 under the network adapters device category, and it shows working normally but it isn't, then I would say that there is no solution to get that card to work on Windows Server 2012.

Hi:

I don't work for or represent HP.

All I can advise you is that HP doesn't offer support or drivers for any windows server operating system for any business or consumer notebook they ever made.

With that track record, I highly doubt they will.

Also, it would be up to Intel to release Windows Server drivers for their wireless cards, not HP.

I have never seen a wireless card driver for windows server on the Intel website.

Normally the equivalent standard windows drivers work on Windows server most of the time.

For example:  If you had installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on your notebook, the W7 Intel wireless driver probably would work.

But since there is no equivalent W10 driver for the model wireless card your notebook has, I have a feeling that is why the wireless card doesn't work.

Maybe you can fool around with some of the advanced settings for the card on the advanced tab in the device manager to see if you can get the card to work.

Enable WMM for example.
