Hello,
I am writing this post to express my complete dissatisfaction and disappointment with my purchase.
From the beginning on, I faced problems with the wifi connection since when turning the laptop on, it connected to the network for the first 10 minutes, then somehow automatically disconnected and I had to turn the wifi and on to make it work again.
After some updates from the wireless drivers + AMD chipset as suggested by different users of this community, the problem does not manifest quite often (but still persists).
However, one problem was not solved, which is the wireless network adapter disappearing after sleep.
On top of that, the battery drain is incredibly high and what makes me angry is that the battery gets drained even when turned off (no hibernation or fast start-up enabled).
This is my worst purchase, never got a product with so many problems. If the issues will not be solved I will never buy an HP product again,
Best regards,
Mat

No one who can help me?
And I have another problem, it happened already 5 times that the laptop won´t turn on despite the battery being fully charged. No fan noise, no LEDs turn on, screen black (in a nutshell, death laptop).
I have tried everything:
- disconnect all USB/HDMI devices
- Unplug from the Power
- hold the button for 30 secs
- replug to the power
And nothing works, but suddenly when repeating the process and keeping closing the lid and reopening it and pressing the power button then (if you are lucky) it turns on.
OMG this laptop is such a mess, nothing works properly.. never HP again

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand that your HP notebook is not working correctly. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing a system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.
While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.
Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hello @Echo_Lake,
Thank you very much for your reply.
A factory reset is the first thing I did as soon as I noticed all the mentioned issues but unfortunately did not help.
In total, I did it 2 times, one after 1 month from the purchase, and the second one 1 week before writing this post.
I would be therefore glad if you could give me (another) working solution.

Thank you for posting back.
I recommend you try to follow the below steps:
- Go to Device manager > select the WIFI drivers under network adapter> Right click go to properties > Under properties go to Power Management Tab> Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
If it does not, please visit this link for further support: HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 10)
If not check this link out: Common fixes for wireless connectivity issues.
Then, I would suggest here is to uninstall the wireless drivers from the device manager:
- Right-Click on the start button> click device manager> Network adapters> select the wireless drivers, right-click on it, and uninstall the Wifi drivers. Then restart the computer and check the connectivity after sleep mode.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello Echo_Lake,
as always thank you for your support and sorry for the late reply, I was quite busy and plus wanted to test the solutions.
Unfortunately, none of the solutions worked. What is even worse is that before trying the solutions the connection got extremely worse and unstable. Like when turning on it connects/disconnects for 10 times and it does it even now after uninstalling/reinstalling/updating the driver (see below).
1. As mentioned by many users as well in their posts here, there is no "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in our wireless adapter network options - Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter (Btw. I have read that tons of users experience problems with this adapter, so I don´t know why HP still uses it in its laptops/PC).
2. Uninstall, reinstall, and even update of the wireless driver from the Internet is the first thing I have down even before the factory reset. I have tried another time now and still it did not solve anything. It worked quite good for 3 days, and after that still the same problems (wifi CONSTANTLY disconnecting, adapter disappearing after sleep mode, and connection disconnecting always on the start up).
I am very disappointed honestly, I really want to return the laptop back, it has just 2-3 months of life, and so many problems. I do not want to keep it and especially with all these problems, but apparently HP does not care. With all respect, but I will never buy a single product from HP again and suggest everyone to stay away from HP (and my previous Desktop and Laptop are HP, so 1 loyal customer less).
I hope someone from HP can read this post and scream for help.
If you somehow can forward it to someone who is in charge and able to help in these terms, pls I would be very grateful

Hi,
I have the exact same problem with wifi as the OP. (Envy x360 13 Ryzen 4700, also RTL8822CE card)
I love this device (speed, design, weight,...), so I'd be very hesitant to return it, but the network adapter problems are driving me crazy.
Symptom: Wifi drops off frequently, with inconsistent occurence, while other devices on same network work perfectly fine.
Also had once that wifi card suddenly vanished while working. Rebooting resolved that issue, and after updating drivers didn't occur again.
Tried:
-Resetting to factory settings
-Updating card driver to even later one than official HP (2024.0.10.222)
-All kinds of variations in the advanced properties. (HT mode, 2.4G/5G preferred mode,...)
-Drastically increasing time until sleep/screen turn off (incase it's related to wake/sleep setting)
Which other steps can I take to troubleshoot this issue?
Judging from the number of topics on this forum and web regarding wifi dropping off for this network card (even extensive topics for linux, identical issue), I doubt OP and my cases are rare. What are the possible steps HP could take to resolve this?
Since I'm really hesitant to get another device. (replacement risks ending up with the same problem) I'm wondering if this card is replaceable in the device, or soldered? (Yes I know that this would void warranty)
