Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

f your HP ENVY x360 laptop's wireless adapter is disabled and none of the usual troubleshooting steps (uninstalling, reinstalling, updating drivers, rebooting) have worked, try these solutions:

Check if Wi-Fi is Disabled via a Physical Switch or Function Key

Some HP laptops have a Wi-Fi function key (e.g., F12 or Fn + F12) that enables/disables the adapter.

  • Press Fn + F12 (or the appropriate key) to toggle Wi-Fi.
  • Check if the Wi-Fi light turns blue/white (enabled) or stays orange (disabled).

 Enable Wi-Fi in Network Settings

  1. Go to Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork and Sharing Center.
  2. Click on Change adapter settings (left panel).
  3. Look for Wi-Fi adapter. If it’s greyed out, right-click it and select Enable. Enable Wi-Fi in BIOS
  4. Restart your laptop and press F10 (or Esc > F10) to enter BIOS.
  5. Look for Advanced > Built-in Devices or Wireless Configuration.
  6. Ensure Wireless LAN is Enabled.
  7. Save changes and exit.

Reset Network Settings

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these commands one by one:
  2. Restart your laptop.

Check Power Management Settings

  1. Device ManagerNetwork Adapters → Right-click Wi-Fi adapterProperties.
  2. Go to Power Management tab and uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
  3. Click OK.

Try a Clean Boot

  1. Open Run (Win + R) → Type msconfig → Press Enter.
  2. Under Services, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
  3. Go to Startup tab → Open Task Manager → Disable all startup items.
  4. Restart your laptop and check if Wi-Fi works.

 Check for Windows Updates

Go to SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows Update → Check for updates.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. SettingsUpdate & SecurityTroubleshootInternet Connections.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.

 Perform a System Restore

If the issue started recently, restore your system to a previous point:

  1. Open Run (Win + R) → Type rstrui → Press Enter.
  2. Select a restore point before the issue started and follow the prompts.

 Use a USB Wi-Fi Adapter

If none of the above steps work, the internal Wi-Fi adapter may be faulty. You can try using a USB Wi-Fi dongle as a temporary fix.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
