HP EliteBook 840 G6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, Need help from an experienced HP Person.

Retired my old 850 G1 notebook and was given an 840 G6 notebook, I installed a xmm-7360 (L850-GL) wwan module, with part number HP LT4120T. When booting notebook, at post I get error message "This system has detected a wireless module installed in system that is not supported and has been disabled, WWAN Module ID (703)". If I press continue and boot into win11 and I goto device manager, I do not see module.

When rebooting, I press esc button and then get error message. I press continue and goto bios and in "Built-In Device Options", I see boxes checked for the wwan module, so the bios sees the module but, win11 device manager does not. Have used HP Assistant to update drivers and cannot find drivers for the wwan module.

Finding out why hp notebook says module not supported and getting module to work is my main concern as I use the wireless mobile function often when on the road.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, William B.
