My airpods pro connect and work fine with the smart tvs in the house but cannot connect or be added as a bluetooth device to the hp spectre 16t x360 and stay connected. Very frustrating!!

To resolve the issue with your AirPods Pro not connecting or staying connected to your HP Spectre 16t x360 laptop, follow these steps:

 

1. Ensure Bluetooth is On and Discoverable

  1. Check Bluetooth Settings:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.

2. Update Bluetooth Drivers

  1. Update Drivers:
    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the Bluetooth section.
    • Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

3. Restart Bluetooth Services

  1. Restart Bluetooth Services:
    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Find Bluetooth Support Service, right-click on it, and select Restart.
    • Ensure the service is set to start automatically by right-clicking, selecting Properties, and setting Startup type to Automatic.

4. Remove and Re-Pair AirPods Pro

  1. Remove AirPods Pro:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Find your AirPods Pro in the list and click Remove device.
  2. Re-Pair AirPods Pro:
    • Put your AirPods Pro in pairing mode by holding the button on the back of the case until the light flashes white.
    • On your laptop, click Add Bluetooth or other device and select Bluetooth.
    • Choose your AirPods Pro from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Check Power Management Settings

  1. Power Management Settings:
    • In Device Manager, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
    • Go to the Power Management tab.
    • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

6. Troubleshoot Bluetooth

  1. Bluetooth Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Additional troubleshooters.
    • Find and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

7. Update Windows

  1. Windows Update:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Check for updates and install any available updates.

8. Reset Network Settings (if necessary)

  1. Network Reset:
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
    • Scroll down and click on Network reset.
    • Follow the instructions to reset your network settings.

9. Check for Interference

  • Ensure there are no other Bluetooth devices or sources of interference nearby that might be causing connectivity issues.
