bluetooth not working hp g42

Hi:

The reason you can't find any Bluetooth devices in the device manager is because your notebook did not come from HP with a combination Wifi/Bluetooth adapter.

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

It comes with a Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter, which is a single band, non-Bluetooth wifi adapter.

There is nothing wrong with your notebook.
