Hi:

 

Not all 8460p's came with built in Bluetooth.  It was an option on that model.

 

Is there a Bluetooth device manager category showing up in the device manager?

 

If so, you need this BT driver...

 

This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/sp61616.exe

 

If there is no Bluetooth device manager category in the device manager, install this software first, restart the PC and then turn on the Bluetooth using the software and then install the above Broadcom bluetooth driver.

 

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supported notebook running a supported operating system.

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53394.exe

 

If there is no bluetooth device to turn on when you launch the HP connection manager software, then your notebook does not have the optional Bluetooth module.
