The specs of your machine is

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04350064

It ONLY has 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo wifi adapter which support 2.4GHz networks only. Your machine was built early 2014 therefore the chance of changing internal wifi is none. You can use USB dongle. I'm using the following one for my 11 years old machine

                https://www.asus.com/au/networking-iot-servers/adapters/all-series/usb-ac53-nano/

It is much faster than my 4 years old HP 840 G5.

Regards.
