Hi  @RealtekRTL8821C

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand you're experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your desktop, and I’ll be glad to help.

To assist you better, could you kindly share the exact HP desktop model number and let us know a bit more about the issue?

A few questions that will help us understand the situation:

  • Is the desktop unable to detect any Wi-Fi networks, or is it detecting networks but unable to connect?
  • Are other devices able to connect to the same Wi-Fi network successfully?
  • Do you see any warning symbols next to the Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter in Device Manager?
  • Are you receiving any specific error messages?

In the meantime, kindly try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart your desktop and Wi-Fi router.
  2. Open Device Manager > Network Adapters.
  3. Right-click Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter and select Disable device.
  4. Wait 30 seconds, then Enable device again.
  5. Right-click the adapter once more and select Update driver.
  6. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset, then restart the computer.
  7. If available, temporarily connect the desktop using an Ethernet cable and run Windows Update to install any pending network-related updates.
  8. In Device Manager, right-click the wireless adapter, select Properties > Power Management, and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I hope this helps.
